• The new CD “No Time” is out in Mozambique…. In May we want to present the disc in Maputo and have also a quantity shipped to Europe to start selling there. Also a mp3 version will be available to download from internet, news about this will come soon. Sold in the moment just in Inhambane province you can buy the disc in the following places: Casa de Comer, Praia de Tofo, Sem Ceremonhas, Inhambane, Hotel Tofo Mar, Praia de Tofo, Gil Vicente, Maputo, Diversity Scuba, Praia de Tofo.

• The latest Positivo workshops are done, Inharrime and Massinga, with some videos coming up in a few days. In Massinga we produced the best tune since starting the Positivo activity, so watch out !!

• The Hip Hop contest that we organized in the newly opened Cine-Teatro Tofo in Inhambane on 7th April, mozambican womens day, was a great success. The cinema was full of young people and even outside on the stairways the youths were packed to participate in the first big event that had happened for decades in this establishment. In the end standing ovations and one winner. It was a hard fight between the rappers and for the jury difficult to decide who was the best one. For sure we will continue these kind of events, that seem to be a great way of animation of the rappers scene in Inhambane. Darren will drop some words on the contest in a moment.

• The small Positivo circle, Helio, Pierre and Roland were invited to do a small methodology training for GTZ in the same April week, which the ended with a samll concert together with some Positivos from Muele in Inhambane.
• April and easter time was Positivo live time in Tofo and Inhambane: Helio, Pierre, Tony, Djibra and Roland rock and rolled over the beach presenting the album.

• Another training took place in the week from 12th to 19th of April, this time in Chimoio, for the Peace Corps’ project “JOMA”. Positivo arrived with Helio, Roland, Tony and Djibra. All of them gave music lessons during the week for youngsters from Nhamatanda, Sofala, mainly about working with the community in order to produce lyrics with them, the Positivo way. The week was concluded by one late night concert in our favourite Pizzeria in Chimoio “Vapor” of our lovely friend Mira, and one day later another concert in the goodbye party of the JOMA week. The newly trained pupils performed in an amazing way, taking control over the whole event musically. Helio started to cry. Abel from 7th of April school played the keyboard in the kwassa-kwassa style as we are used to….

• The studio equipment is on the way from Europe, it left Antwerpen on the 22nd of April. On its arrival it will be installed in the rooms in the Casa de Cultura in Inhambane. Training for the local studio technicians will start hopefully in May, depending on the arrival date of the studio….
